You scored as alternative. You're partially respected for being an individual in a conformist world yet others take you as a radical. You have no place in society because you choose not to belong there - you're the luckiest of them all, even if your parents are completely ashamed of you. Just don't take drugs ok?

Hope dies the day I decide to learn Photoshop, putting my precious GIMP aside.

That day is today :P

There's just way too many plugins, brush sets, and such, that aren't compatible with The GIMP. And that it can't actually save icon files properly. So I'm going to try and switch over, out of necessity. I'll still have the GIMP installed, so if the conversion fails, I can fall back on the open source alternative =)

The guy from Techbuy came last monday. Turned out it was a quick fix, and once the guy swapped out my RAM for a stick he had in his car, it ran perfectly. Everything is so much more friendly now, and of course, HL2 is friggin' amazing. And hey, the guy even cleaned my cpu fan out, because it was dusty and he could. So, note to all-

Avi recommends www.techbuy.com.au =)

Anyway.

A guy at school recommended the band Breaking Benjamin to me, and they're damn awesome. I love it, dunno who else might.

And another week of school is unhappy -.-"

Mm, so I'm back on RPGChat. And there's my first IC post in two months, which isn't too horridly rusty. Damien Drake is now dead, a ghost who's stuck around to spend his time haunting the world in general in a nasty way until he gets a new body or suchlike.

And I'm also quite proud of my latest devART submission, Ghost of the Monster. As it happens, the image was inspired by Damien Drake, and is what I'm now using as the base for my forum avatar on RPGC. Comment all 'round are much appreciated, I'm gonna try and keep future pieces to that standard. Can't make any promises, though :P

My business studies (bs) assessment task is due tomorrow. The teacher is expecting 3000-4000 words. Me? I've done 500 now. Long night ahead x_X

Well so, I've signed up once more for what's probably the longest-running dungeons and dragons PBeM game in existence. RealmsQuest, of course. My wild elven witch is looking perky, so we'll see if Mormy gives me the go-ahead for a character sheet.

Meh, so today wasn't too bad. Had a completely unproductive SDD where me and Stan spent the whole time pretty much looking for the elusive school network admin, to re-enable VB 6 component access so that we could potentially do -something- in class. Well, time went out anyway, after we hit the server room, computer classrooms, library, and IA staffroom- to finally find him in the deputy's office. By the time the problem was fixed, the class was over, w00t.

Open day left the second half of the day open, so I hit the arcades in the city with Raymond. Having never been to an arcade before, I discovered just how different Soul Calibur 2 is with a joystick and a set of large buttons, in lieu of a Gamcube controller. So hell, I got my ass kicked repeatedly while getting used to it, but usually only by three points to two, so I'm slowly getting used to it :P

Came home, and against my will, fell asleep. Except that it was the most uncomfortable sleep I've ever been through, and when I tried to do some work and then fell asleep again... with the same problem... not fun. I woke up more tired than I started, which was friggin' annoying. Does anyone know a useful way to avoid that, please?!

So, it turns out that the failure wasn't due to the HL2 disc, after all. I swapped it for another copy at Revolution CD, and then succesfully installed it on Jono's PC. Came home, tried, failed.

Fucking hell.

So it looks like I'm going to be calling in that three year on-site warranty, after all.

Fucking second-rate hardware x_X

FUCKING HELL x_X

So, I got to Bondi Junction today to hang out with Jono, Zac and Ben (at WebTopia, of course). Then I went to CDrevolution, and bought Half Life 2 for $84.95, paid in cash.

Came home, ran the install... which then DIED REPEATEDLY on disk 2. I tried reading the image and mounting it on DAEMON, and it DIED AGAIN. Same goes for a different login account, and even a different hard drive partition. Which means I have to go back tomorrow, swap it in, a curse repeatedly.

FUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCK.

Eheh -.-'

Fireworks, I've discovered in the last few minutes, is a wonderfully friendly and useful app. It allows me to design the kind of website layout, and work in graphics for a website, in a way that would otherwise have taken many times as long writing up the code in dreamweaver and trying to draw a GUI in an environment meant for individual graphics (the GIMP or Photoshop).

Secondly, Powderfinger are awesome. For anyone who doesn't have them, download Waiting for the Sun, Thrilloilogy, and Love Your Way. If you're on my contact list anyway, feel free to leech me for the music ^^

Final word, I seriously need to get a job. I'm in the process of writing a crappy little resume, so can someone either give me a few tips on looking around and getting interviews, or any other related help?

Gyah, missed seeing The Notebook today 'cause my parents wanted me to babysit.

And then utterly failed to do any productive homework after the little brother was asleep.

Or anything else productive, at that. FF7 does not count as productive -.-

Fuck it all, I need a job :P

I've recently gotten back into Powderfinger and Silverchair, which I hadn't listened to for about a year. And my media library has hit 450 tracks =)

Toly, you shut up with your some several thousand :P

Stan and Maggie have, through a series of reccomendations, managed to somewhat expand the range of my music collection. Brand New, Seether, Placebo, and Sugarcult to name a few bands I discovered through them.

Amusingly, I tend to end up with more songs by an artist someone recommends to me than they have. I suspect Maggie still has about two Seether songs, I had about 15 within a few minues of the recommendation. I've become addicted to good music :P

At some point in the future, probably not before I start working full time, I want to actually go and -pay- for all the music I've downloaded. And I actually mean it, so shut up about my laziness -.-"

Dundundun. I need more tea. And sugar. Lots of sugar would be good about now.

Thanks to several of my teachers going on year ten camp, I have no classes tomorrow. Oh, but life is good to me on occassions such as these. I need some time to do a business studies assignment, and work on finishing Planescape: Torment xD

Love this song, and listening to it now, so I feel like posting up the lyrics.

Needles, by Seether

I never seem to find a reason
to let you in again, or forgive you
I’m sick of feeling like I need you
knowing I never did, but I miss you
Taking and breaking and hating
I remember all you said to me now
Faking, forsaking and failing
my memories are all stained again

Let me get inside your head
Let me show you I’m prepared
Let me stick my needles in
And let me hurt you again

I never reach my indecision
to let you see again all I give you
I’m sick of feeding your attention,
knowing I never did. I distress you
Taking and breaking and hating
I remember all you said to me now
Faking, forsaking and failing
my memories are all stained again

Let me get inside your head
Let me show you I’m prepared
Let me stick my needles in
And let me hurt you again

Fuck you for killing me
Me..
Fuck you for killing me
Me..

Yeah, let me get inside your head
Let me show you I’m prepared
Let me stick my needles in
And let me hurt you again
Again

Fuck you for killing me

Well, random spam it is. It's late and I'm bored.

< SPAM >
It's too damn warm. Nevermind that it's summer, it's too God-damned warm and humid. I need air con.

Saw the Bell Shakespeare company's rendition of 12th Night today. Damn funny, they did an amazing job with the play as usual. Nothing traditional about the way Bell Shakespeare do plays; they tend to adapt them to modern life while still keeping the Shakespeare spirit to them, and a completely original twist. For example, they had both an iPod and various old swords as standard weapons in the same play. And the costumes tend to be a mix of modern and old as well, with modern business suits and cross-garter yellow stockings (o_O) in the same scene. Damn funny, overall.

I've got a deviantART account now, w00t. Now, I've just got to actually use for more than a couple of really old images, including my first ever photo manipulation and a more recent modification of the same. Comment on that site would be much appreciated for the more recent one, please =)

Green tea with earl gray is awesome stuff, especially in my fairly massive travel mug (which is now more of a dead travel mug; the lid is dead, and thus can't be used for travel :P).

And this is a bit late, but what the hell. Halloween- trick or treating for the first time ever. Good haul, better company ^^

I went as an impromtu hobo, and apparently the role suited me quite naturally. Nice to know -.-
Props to Stan for the smiley face on the inside of the hat. And to Maggie, for perfecting the vampire look... after we got back to Liza's house. I've still got plenty of those mint candies with the chocolate centres that no-one wanted :P

I need to learn to sing again.

Well, my shoes are fixed. Thank God, the temporary repairs looks awful -.-
